01 / Agreement to Terms

By booking a vehicle or using any service offered by Rapid Car Rentals ("we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rapid Car Rentals.

02 / Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to rent a vehicle.
• You must hold a valid driver's license issued by a competent authority for the category of vehicle rented.
• You must provide a valid government-issued photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, or National ID card) at the time of booking.
• Rapid Car Rentals reserves the right to refuse service at its sole discretion.

03 / Booking & Payments

• All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by Rapid Car Rentals.
• Full payment or an advance deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
• Prices displayed include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and bank transfers. Cash payments are not accepted.
• A refundable security deposit may be collected at the time of vehicle handover.

04 / Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancellations made 48+ hours before the booking start time are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made 24–48 hours before attract a 25% cancellation charge.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before are non-refundable.
• No-shows are treated as same-day cancellations and are non-refundable.
• Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7 business days.

05 / Vehicle Use

• The rented vehicle must be used only for lawful purposes within the permitted zone agreed at booking.
• Subletting or transferring the vehicle to a third party is strictly prohibited.
• Smoking, carrying hazardous materials, or exceeding seating capacity is not permitted.
• Off-road use of standard vehicles is prohibited unless specifically booked for that purpose.
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at handover, failing which a fuel charge will apply.

06 / Damage & Liability

• You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period.
• Damage must be reported to us immediately.
• In case of an accident, inform us and relevant authorities without delay.
• Insurance cover does not apply in cases of negligence or driving under the influence.
• The security deposit may be forfeited to cover assessed damage or losses.

07 / Traffic Violations & Fines

You are solely responsible for any traffic violations, fines, tolls, or penalties incurred during the rental period. A $50 administrative processing fee will be added to any violation notice received by Rapid Car Rentals.

08 / Extension of Rental Period

Extensions must be approved before the original return time. Unauthorised retention may attract a penalty of 2x the daily rate, in addition to legal remedies.

09 / Breakdown & Roadside Assistance

In the event of a mechanical breakdown not caused by your actions, we will endeavour to provide a replacement vehicle or roadside assistance within a reasonable time.

10 / Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. EU and UK customers retain all rights granted under applicable local consumer protection laws. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New York, NY.

11 / Changes to Terms

Rapid Car Rentals reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
